Description

Alum is a transparent salt crystal or aluminum potassium sulfate which is chemically hydrated so it dissolves in water and reacts with acids.

Alum stone can be used as a natural deodorant. This mineral salt contains astringents and has anti-bacterial properties. Astringents are chemicals that can constrict body tissues.

The alum stone is effective in preventing excessive sweating and the development of bacteria that trigger body odor with these two properties.
